Engineering & Technology magazine has exclusive news today on how David Beckham will be helping his England team mates prepare for the World Cup finals with the help of a footballing robot developed in Italy.
The training aid, already dubbed ‘Robobecks’, is operated by remote control from pitch-side. Best news for England supporters is that it will also let the team’s goalkeepers practice facing up to penalty takers they’re likely to come up against in shootouts during the tournament in South Africa.
