Samsung has unveiled its first smartphone to use its proprietary bada operating system.
The Wave uses an 800 x 480 active matrix LED display, a 5Mpixel camera and Samsung’s own 1GHz processor. The TouchWiz 3.0 user interface is also a proprietary Samsung design that makes it possible to customise menus and the homepage to give easy access to social networking services.
The bada operating system is designed to work with Samsung’s mobile applications store.
Samsung is also working on Android, Windows Mobile and LiMo phones.
The Wave e is expected to retail at around €330.
