September sees the number of IET events ramp up as its networks begin their new sessions. Lectures, seminars and technical visits are taking place all over the world, with Local Networks arranging special access to places such as Cathay Pacific City – the company’s international HQ at Hong Kong Airport and Crossrail’s Canary Wharf station.
There’s also a clear focus on education, professional development and registration this month, with workshops and courses galore in the calendar. Why not go along to a workshop to learn more about attained Chartered Engineer status, discover the basics behind project management at a Lifeskills event or attend a two-day course on technical report writing?
This month there is also the dual launch of the 2016 IET Skills Survey and ‘Engineering Work Experience for All’, a new campaign championing the right of every engineering student to have access to practical experience in the workplace. Taking place on 20 September, you can register to attend the free event at IET London: Savoy Place here.
