The IET returns to Glastonbury this month, as well as hosting competitions, social events and technical and soft skills training courses.
Thanks to the success of the last IET outing to Glastonbury, another technical visit has been organised for those interested in going behind the scenes of one of the UK’s biggest festivals. But if wellies and rock music just aren’t your scene, there is still a great variety of other visits to choose from, including trips to TAG Farnborough Airport, the Battle of Britain bunker and Tesla’s service centre in Hong Kong.
For those focusing on their IPD or CPD then you’ll be happy to hear there’s also a great range of workshops, lectures and courses taking place throughout June, covering everything from professional registration and specification writing through to contract law and commercial awareness.
And for those interested in augmented and virtual reality, you might want to take advantage of the special IET discount code for VR & AR World – simply pop in the code ‘IET20’ when purchasing your ticket.
Finally, the IET is hosting several events around International Women in Engineering Day, which takes place on June 23rd, including a lecture on women in engineering and a special #9PercentIsNotEnough conference.
Dedicated to sharing best practice on how to inspire, attract, recruit and retain women into the engineering and technology sectors, the conference will be showcasing real, practical solutions to the challenges we all know about.
