Ahead of Google’s annual techfest shindig, Google I/O, later this month, we hear tell of something called Android Wear, the operating system of the company’s smartwatch. Google is expected to demonstrate the Android Wear smartwatch OS at the technology conference in San Francisco. Believe it or not, some companies are actually developing for Windows 8! Yeah, exactly! No one can actually use it and people are still wondering why they heck they upgraded from whatever the previous version of Windows was that actually worked with their system, but it’s true: Wacom has developed the Cintiq Companion (a Grade-A rubbish product name, up there with Zune, frankly) creative tablet for Windows 8 and Android. Pen-on-screen performance is promised for doodlers on the go. If nothing else, we have to applaud Wacom’s optimism. More smartphone “action” today, as we eavesedrop on the call from Google to Motorola, which resulted in the Moto X. Android mobile TV games subscription service launched

PC and mobile gaming provider Exent and consumer electronics provider Vestel announced at IBC 2011 that they have teamed up to launch the world’s first all-you-can-eat Android TV game subscription service. As the Games on Demand provider for the Vestel Smart Box Set-Top Box (STB), Exent will bring consumers top Android mobile games to TV for the first time ever.
